Paul Pritchard Studied French Horn and Composition at the Royal College of Music. As a player, he embraced almost every style of music, working with performers as diverse as: the London Symphony Orchestra, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Costello and Blur. From being principal Horn in both the Royal Ballet and London Festival Ballet orchestras, he eventually became one of the busiest freelance players in London, incorporating long periods with London orchestras, notably the Philharmonia and LSO.

Due in part to the long periods spent abroad, he decided to concentrate on studio work, becoming a fixture on the London session scene for many years, until a conversation with composer Richard Harvey led to an offer to be his assistant. As writing work became more constant, it became difficult to fit in horn playing, and he became a full-time composer in 1996.

Equally comfortable scoring for full orchestra, or mastering digital scores, he is also an accomplished string arranger and orchestrator whose credits have encompassed a wide range of styles from Opera to trance.

He has scored a wide range of projects including: feature film, television drama, documentary, advertising, production, corporate, also ballet, and concert commissions.

His music for Alan Bleasdale's 'Oliver Twist' was nominated for BAFTA 'Best Original Television Score', along with a BAFTA shortlisting for 'Snowblind' a special episode of 'Dr Finlay'. His atmospheric score for the short film 'Ghost' won 'Best Music' at the 2013 Cannes International Media Festival.

He has over 20 albums of production music available from KPM, which has featured globally on dozens of films, trailers, tv series and adverts, and his concert commissions have included works for the Academy of St Martins in the fields, London Festival Ballet workshop, The Guildhall Horns, and the Blaze Ensemble.
